Microgreens are edible vegetable, herb, or grain seedlings. They are usually harvested when the first pair of fully expanded leaves appear which is within one to three weeks from when they are planted.
Several recent studies have attested to the health benefits of microgreens. Research reports they have 4-40 times more nutrients than their mature counterparts.
Microgreens are used in a wide variety of healthy homemade foods. In addition to their nutritional benefits, microgreens are diverse in flavours, textures, and colours.
Microgreens should not be confused with sprouts. Sprouts must be grown in very humid, closed conditions, where there exists the potential for unwanted bacteria. Microgreens, on the other hand grow in coco coir which is naturally antifungal, and under bright lights in a well ventilated area.
HOW DO YOU STORE
We recommend harvesting live microgreens as needed for up to 3 days, then cutting what's left to store in the fridge. Cut microgreens can be refrigerated in a reusable container for 10+ days.

Place tray near kitchen window and harvest as needed
Water once a day with approx. 1/8 cup
After approx. 3 days cut remaining microgreens and store in fridge - if they are grown for too long the flavour and texture will be affected
🌿 CUT MICROGREENS | Fresh for 10+ Days
Store microgreens in non-porous container with a lid
Place paper towel on top to absorb excess moisture when necessary
Microgreens will wilt if not stored properly!
